George Henry Attlesey was born in Jan 1854 in Southery Norfolk, he was my Gt Gt Grandfather.
In 1861 census aged 7 he is living with his parents, his brother, and 4 step siblings, in Westgate St, Southery.
In 1871 census aged 17 he is an apprentice in Kings Lynn to Thomas H Roberts, a Sadler Collar and Harness Maker, employing 1 man and an apprentice.
He married Clara Curtis (b1857 in Kings Lynn), in 29 Oct 1878 in Southery Parish Church.
They had 3 children:
- Harriet Clara 1879 - 1969
- George Willis 1881 - 1893
- Florence Beatrice 1885 - 1965
In 1881 census George is living at 4 Westgate St, next door to his father. He is described as Master Harness Maker. With him are his wife Clara, and children Harriet and George. Plus Florence M Perry 14, a niece described as a domestic assistant.
In 1883 entry in Kellys Directory as Harness Maker.
In 1891 census George is living at 4 Westgate St, Southery, and is described as Harness Maker and Farmer. Clara is described as Shopkeeper, and Flora Perry neice, is a shop assistant. The 3 children are described as scholars.
George Willis died in 1893 aged 12 from Diptheria.
In 1901 Census George is 46 and a Farmer and Harness Maker in Westgate St. Clara does not have an occupation. Harriet 21 is a school teacher, and Florence 16 is a monitress. Florence M Perry is still with them and employed but there is no occupation.
Harriet Clara married Frederick Hubert Barrow in December 1906. They had 2 children:

- George H 1908 - 1961
Florence Beatrice married William Henry Robertson in Mar 1907. They had 4 children:
- Clara Florence 1907 - 1988
- Harry James (Jim) 1911 - 2001
- Annie Beatrice 1912 - 1993
- Eva D (Pip) 1918 - 1965
In 1911 Census George and Clara had moved to Plantation Villa, Southery. Grandaughter Clara Robertson was with them on census night, this may have been due to the imminent arrival of Harry James.

George Henry died on 10 Jun 1935 aged 81. Probate notice:"George Henry of Plantation Villa Southery Norfolk. died 10 June 1935 Probate Norwich 16 August to Clara Attlesey widow Frederick Herbert Barrow and William Henry Robertson farmers. Effects £5139 11s 7d."
